In the case of Norka Martinez Luque, she has gone through several challenges to get to where she is now. About Ms. Martinez
Norka Luque was born in Caracas, Venezuela’s capital city in February 1986. From her youth, her parents encouraged her to take a career in the music industry. In fact, they paid extra for her to take instrument, singing, and dance classes. Ms. Martinez has always loved singing. From her profile, we learn that she participated in different singing competitions including the “Golden Voice” and “School Festival of Gaitas.
After graduating from high school, the young Luque traveled to France to pursue a course in business administration. She studied the course to completion before moving to Monaco after a career opportunity came knocking her doors. Luque landed a job in the banking sector of Monaco.
In 2008, the beautiful Venezuelan songbird Norka Luque met Emilio Estefan. Mr. Estefan is the man behind the careers of prominent artists such as Shakira, Jenifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin. Estefan has served as an invaluable asset to Ms. Martinez. The internationally recognized producer has helped take Luque’s career to a whole new level.
In 2011, Mr. Estefan compiled a team of professionals to work on Luque’s first album. This album contained three hit singles namely “As You Do It,” “Milagro” and “Tomorrowland.” The album also brought the Venezuelan artist several Latin Music Awards nominations including a nomination for the Best Female Artist of the Year in the Lo Nuestro Latin Music Awards.
Ms. Martinez had some health problems in 2014. The problems were related to the life-threatening condition, epilepsy. This condition is characterized by issues with brain nerve cell functioning. Her condition worsened, and she had to pose her music career to undergo a brain surgery. She received a brain surgery at the start of 2015. The operation was successful, but the recovery process was rather long and challenging.
Despite all these challenges, Luque is back in the pop music scene stronger like never before. She is currently promoting her latest single that was produced by the Panamanian-Canadian music producer, Fito Blanko.
