Sheldon Lavin is the Chief Executive Officer and the Chairman of OSI Group, LLC. He has a very high description in the industry of food and meat processing. Lavin is presently the President of OSI International Food Limited and still serves as an active participant in the OSI Group company’s dealings.
Sheldon Lavin studied at the University of Illinois. He also attended Northwestern University specializing in accounts and finance. Lavin received his degree in Business from Roosevelt University based in Chicago, Illinois. He operated his own financial consultation company called Sheldon Lavin and Associates Inc in Chicago for close to fifteen years of his early career life.
Sheldon became a member of Otto & Sons in the year 1970 before it developed to become the OSI Group. With Sheldon as its leader, OSI Group has rapidly grown from a local food processing company to a global industry controller. OSI Group expansion is evident with its more than 60 centers in various 60 countries. During Lavin’s tenure, the OSI Group has expanded to become a multibillion-dollar international food processing company. OSI Group enterprise offers different products of meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, and dough-specialty. The company supplies its products and provide services to its clients in private-label, restaurant, industrial, retail and foodservice-supplier fields.
On February 20th, 2016, Sheldon received a recognition award for the Global Visionary Award. The award was presented by Vision World Academy of India. The recognition was upon his incredible achievements in propelling OSI Group onto the global picture and developing job opportunities around the world. In his speech, Lavin stated that he was pleased to receive such a distinguished award and was proud of his work in life particularly in gearing the OSI Group develop into a global development contributor. He also noted his dedication to the company and its employees throughout his life.
OSI Group was started its expansion journey throughout Europe and North America in the year 1970 and moved to South America and Taiwan in 1980. Later the company spread through China, Australia, Japan, the Philippines and South Africa. Sheldon had achieved total voting control of the company by this time.
Additionally, Sheldon Lavin is a supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities. He has supported them for not less than twenty-five years. He is the chairman and a representative of its capital operation too. Lavin also backs a variety of other donations and is the Director and President of a domestic charitable organization, The Sheba Foundation.
