On Mar.28,1953 J. Christopher Burch was born in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was raised in Wayne, PA by his mother Robin Sinkler and his father John Walter Burch. Burch started his career in 1976 where he attended Ithaca College located in Ithaca NY (bjtonline.com).

He and his brother started their journey in fashion while attending college. Investing only a small amount of money, Eagle’s Eye apparel was their first store. Burch and his brother were able to open a retail store. The store made over $165 million before it was passed on.

Burch is a CEO and founder of Burch Creative Capital located in New York City. He is known for his entrepreneurship and smart investments. Burch has also spend time in helping to develop technology. In 2004 Burch helped his wife Tory Burch establish the Tory Burch fashion label which has grown to become a very successful label.

Real-estate was next on Burch list of investments. Burch invested in the development of many luxury homes. Locations such as Nantucket,Palm Beach and Southampton is known for its popular luxurious well-made homes with the help of Burch.

He partnered with a few architects to build the famous Faena Hotel located in Miami Beach and Buenos Aires. In 2013, Burch purchased Nihiwatu resort in Sumba,Indonesia. The resort is known for it ambiance and breathtaking views. Burch added 27 villas to the resort each comes with a private pool and an easy access to the beautiful ocean.

The resort has full services for guests such as Yoga, Spa etc. The Nihiwatu resort offers five star dining with produce that is hand-picked from the resorts organic garden.

Burch established the Sumba Foundation. The mission is to decrease the poverty in Sumba and provide health-aid to the people that is in need. The foundation also supports education and clean water supply. All donations goes 100% towards the projects.
